Hong Kong + Mcdonald's McHappy Day Concert 2009!

I'm still busy with some stuff for university so I keep on delaying this post! Well, I finally decided to write it today since I can't continue with university stuff while waiting for reply. Hehehe....

As to those who were wondering if I went to TVB City during my HK trip? Well, I didn't. Because I was arranging to meet Charmaine after the gala at first, but while I was enjoying my shopping at Tsim Sha Tsui...I got a call and seems that Tina informed Faner that Charmaine unfortunately has to film for Heaven and Earth right after the anniversary gala! Which means, our meeting was cancelled. And I was told that Charmaine will have another function for 72 tenants press conference the next day so because of that I didn't go to TVB City that night. But later on, Charmaine was not included in the press conference guest list.....Haihz...which means I didn't have the chance to meet Charmaine at all during my trip!! But then however, no worries....as from my last post, I did meet up with Wei Ni(fanclub representative) and passed her the card that I made containing the fan's messages which you all wrote to her. Wei Ni already passed the card to Charmaine on the 23rd function! Thanks a lot Wei Ni!

However, I did met some stars during this trip which is from the McDonald's McHappy Day Concert! This is the first time I watch a concert in HK, and I must admit it is much more fun and worth it to watch a concert in HK than Malaysia! First, tickets are cheap! The most expensive ticket is HKD480 (Approx RM240) I got the HKD180 tickets because the HKD480 tickets were already sold out when I booked online. And when I went into the concert venue, I was surprised with how front our seats were although we paid this price! Hahaha....

Anyway, I did not take any videos because the concert was too enjoyable and I enjoyed it alot that I didn't want to take any videos to distract myself. Besides, we were actually not supposed to video record, which I then realise the authoritie didn't really cared anyway, unlike in Genting. Hahaha.....This is the first time I heard Eason sing live and I am very impressed with his singing and stage performance. Absolutely superb! Eason and Joey also duet a song called "Angel's Gift" and I'm Lovin' their performance!! Hahaha....Joey's harmony for the song was really impressive....although she was sick at that time which I only knew after I got back to Malaysia and saw her Facebook. Typical Joey, hiding any sign of fatique from audience. I would say that Eason and Joey has the most showmanship out of all the other singers from that concert. They were the only singers that made everyone stood up every time they sang. Haha....especially when Eason sang his new mandarin song 'this type of troublesome' and when Joey sang the Mcd commercial song 'two three things I know' (sorry for my laziness to type out the chinese characters of the song title!)

I am dissapointed with Kay's vocals this time. Kay didn't sang smoothly this time where she missed lyrics and also didn't control the stability of her voice nicely. And also she needs to improve her showmanship! Thumbs up to Hins' vocals! His vocals is really good but similar to Kay, needs more showmanship. As to Andy Lau, he is one of the Four Heavenly Kings, so what to expect? Hahaha...but somehow, Eason made the crowd higher than he did with all the crazy jumping and dancing...LOL. Eric Kot and Lam Hoi Fung made a short medley performance which was quite fun! Here's a picture of Andy with his two sons Andox and Box which did a MJ dance sequence that night...hahaha...

Joey sang 4 songs that night including the duet which are 'two three things I know', 'Double Champion' and also 'My pride'. I'm glad she sang 'double champion' as its her latest song and its really nice to be able to listen to it live! Too bad she didn't sing 'very busy' hehehe...Anyway, lovely concert although this is just a small scale concert for charity with about 5000 people capacity. The duet between Joey and Eason was the finale of the concert and we all felt that the concert felt like it ended so fast although in fact we were alrady watching a 2 hour concert because it was really enjoyable. Hahaha.....

Joey and Eason's witty dance moves during the duet

Next time, I would want to watch a concert in the HK Colliseum(Hong Gun) instead! Hehehe...the McDonald's concert was held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre which is that building beside the Golden Bauhinia with the turtle shell shaped roof. I'm sure anyone who goes to HK would have visited that place. Here's a picture of the building:

Hehehe...Anyway, ate a lot during this trip (egg tarts, Polo Pao, Wan Tan Mee, Mango Sago dessert, Smelly Toufu, Curry fishballs, Put Zai Gou, Dim Sum, French Toast, Congee, Beef Noodles, Gai Dan Zai, Portuguese Egg tarts, Pork Chop Bun, roast goose.....) WOW! and we didn't really visited many tourists spots this time because its our second trip. Instead we walked around Hong Kong and also Macau and did more shopping instead...hahaha...And Oh yea, I think my aunt saw Wai Ying Hung at the Mcd concert....she told me and my mum she saw her only later..and I said, Why didn't you told me earlier!!! Hahaha....Instead, I only managed to see the Scoop lady host...I forgot her name..haha. You can always see her interviewing artiste during the Scoop program. She was just right infront of me with a few cameramen. But since I don't know her name, i dare not approach her. LOL..and she seems busy reading through some scripts or perhaps questions to interview artistes....Anyway, I better go to bed now! Its 215am now! Gooooooodnight!!!!!

Added TVB news clip from the concert!

Two clips from Eason And Joey's 16th Nov concert. Joey's remarks in the second clip left the whole group of reporters in stitches and Eason was left awestruck at first...hahaha. He quickly picked up pace though...hehehe...really hillarious! Love both of them! Hope they collaborate again and this time I must watch it! LOLs...

Snail Long Wait, Lightning Fast Chase.........

NO REPOSTING PLEASE. THANK YOU!

Before my exams, I switched off my mobile phone because that is a requirement during examinations. After the exam, I switched it back on and I realise that the phone is searching for signal....so I just leave it like that until I got back home around 6pm. So I came back home and first thing, went online to wait for the 4 TVB artistes, Joe Ma, Sharon Chan, Susan Tse and Kevin Cheng's interview on Myfm. While waiting, I looked back at my phone and realised that it is still searching for network!!! So I restarted my phone and after it got back the Maxis line, 3 SMS ringtone came in...Hahahaa....first one from my dad, second from a friend and 3rd one from Wai Wai.........Wai Wai??? When I saw the SMS I was wondering why Wai Wai would SMS me...so I read it and oooh...Wai Wai was asking me if I would be interested to see the four artiste at the hotel today after my exam? And then I replied her and she said she's at the hotel already. So I was contemplating and considering the fact that I just completed one exam paper today, I don't really feel like doing any studies tonight.....so off I go meeting Wai Wai...Photobucket Oh but before that, packing some pictures of Sharon, Kevin, Joe and Susan and also 'star chasing' gear, camera+the golden pen...hahaha.

I reach the hotel around 8.15pm and so met up with Wai Wai and some other people which hmm...I didn't get their names..although we spent alot of time laughing and chatting mainly doing sinister jokes on TVB artistes. This one, Wai Wai has to do the part to let me know their names la~~ Hahaha....

So we waited....with a few false alarm as usual....hahaha...and they finally came at around 11.30pm.....which means I waited for about 3 hours....nothing compared to Wai Wai I guess...Photobucket

Once we knew they arrived, as usual, total chaos......the first person I spotted was Susan Tse...I was walking approaching her when suddenly I see Sharon right in front of me!! Wai Wai was targetting Susan Tse so I passed her a photo of Susan for her to help me get an autograph while I went to Sharon instead. And Sharon was just very quiet being surrounded by the security guards and her PA. Which really pissed me off! They were pushing and pushing Sharon forward and I keep hearing her PA saying, "Man Chi hou gooi ge lar...."(Man Chi is tired already) and the security guards go.."em ho yi ying siong...."(no pictures) but when people rush up to take pictures with Sharon then they say, "yat jiong ge ja" (only one). I personally feel helpless that time...LOL...because things happen so fast, I cant find the chance to take a picture with Sharon. Although some fans succesfully did and Sharon did acknowledge by stopping to take with them..only to be continuously dragged forward by her PA. Her PA kept on calling her and directing her, "Man Chi, li pin li pin" (Sharon, here, here). From Sharon's expression, I can only see blurness...hahaha...I somehow wished that Sharon will speak out and stop the guards and tell them its okay to pause for a picture like what some other artiste I know did. Anyway, at that time I was thinking should I continue to follow Sharon or walk back to Susan/Kevin/Joe which I assume was at the back?? But I insist that I came here for Sharon so charge forward!! Hahaha...

At this point of time, I give up with photo and just move forward infront of Sharon which made me ended up taking photo for some other people....WHAT!?...Haihz...but anyhow, I managed to pass the 'golden pen' to Sharon and a picture. Sharon took it and walked on while she signed....she walked on and on while signing(which is actually quite a long time) because I was left far behind. After she finished signing, she turned back around looking for me and I went forward and get it back. Not even a chance to thank her personally as the guards push her forward, but anyhow, Thanks Sharon! That's the least that I can do...LOL.

Then, I turn around and saw Susan approaching my side. So I just walked up to her and asked her can I take a photograph with you? Then the two security guards escorting her again answered on her behalf......."mou dak ying xiong, ting yat, ting yat" (no pictures, do that tomorrow)...And I look at Susan and she helplessly said, "ting yat lar hou em hou?"...Well, I hate forcing. So be it. I know tomorrow will be impossible for me, so I just acknowledge, "hou la" (OK). And at that time, Susan saw me holding a pen and some pictures...I think she expects me to get an autograph from her! But I passed my picture to Wai Wai earlier so nothing to sign... and I feel so bad for not handing out anything to her...Haahaha. Anyhow, took a lousy picture of her walking down to her suite.

Photobucket

She does look very pretty for her age. Although her facial expression does scare me at times...hahaha...must be influenced by the 'Dai Nai Nai' character in Rosy Business...HAAHAA...After that, things became calm around the area...and I was like...what about Joe and Kevin? Haven't arrived? And the rest of the people were like? They were the first to come in...WHAT!?? I didn't even spotted any of them...hahahaha. Similarly, Wai Wai didn't even spotted Sharon throughout the whole period while I instead only spotted Sharon for most of the time...this proves that you should only pick one target and follow it at events like these....HAHAHAHA...So end of today, what I got are:

Photobucket

I feel the way Susan Tse signs is kinda interesting(no wonder she takes such a long time to sign)....drawing characters and even writing 'Dai Nai Nai'.....HAHAHA...Anyhow, although no pictures, but at least I fulfilled my cravings to meet Sharon!! Thanks a lot to Wai Wai for letting me know!!! Now, focus back to fighting for my last exam final paper!!! YEAH!! ADD OIL to myself~~!!

How could this misfortune fall upon me!!??? WHY?WHY?WHY!!!?? My Sharon Chan, dearest Sharon Chan!!!!Photobucket Have I ever mentioned that I have a certain degree of fondness for Sharon??? Hehehehe.....Okay, back to the event. I am very fortunate though that Charmaine and Tavia were not included in this promotion because if so, I will stab myself..........PhotobucketPhotobucket !!!!!!!!!!! Well, I meant that literally...of course won't kill myself because of that lar~chi sin meh!!?? Hahaha. Which reminded me of something I just read for my communication studies on fandom:

"The language of fans, like that of other enthusiasts, is exaggerated for comic effect as they speak of 'addictions', 'infections' and 'seductions', descriptions accepted gleefully by the other members of the group." - Henry Jenkins, 1992.

Yeah, so did you laughed at my remarks earlier? If you did, that means you are a fan of TVB too!!! So now you have a rough idea of what I'm studying my brains off in university??? LOL...I'm actually studying and doing an analysis on people like 'myself'....Back to study mode now. Hope most of you will not fall into my category for this event!! For those who could attend, do snap more picturesPhotobucket!!!

P.S I may sneak out for an hour to see this cum dinner....well I have to eat right????Photobucket
